Working with this iconic Canadian footwear designer for just over 3 years in the design department, gave me a vast knowledge of the design and development process. I worked in a small team of designers and developers, with John Fluevog at the head, where we collaborate to develop and produce every season.
Each season the team brainstorms on theme, mood, and inspiration putting together a clear direction for everyone within the team and company. Some of my main tasks included translating John’s initial sketches into mockups and line drawings, creating sample requests and colourway files for the factories, fitting samples and applying needed adjustments, photo editing final product to be used internally and externally by marketing, and directly communicating with factories and vendors. Because the team is so small it allowed me to take on many different roles which included shoe/accessory developer and designer, textile developer, product developer, photoshoot assistant/stylist, as well as the lead in charge of archiving and maintaining our collection of vintage Fluevog shoes and accessories (affectionately called the Flueseum)
Most projects I work on are confidential and all work belongs to John Fluevog Boots & Shoes ltd. I can elaborate in more detail on projects in person.

An example of an iconic project, that celebrates the life, music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix, built in collaboration with Jimi’s family. I worked on this project and was in charge of the factory that manufactured all the shoes in the Jimi Hendrix collection.
